Square, one of the largest international creativity festivals in Europe, which contests cover the entire spectrum of the communications, marketing, branding and creative industries, has announced the 2023 jury, with John Ajayi, Publisher/CEO of MARKETING EDGE being one of the top appointees as a jury.

Mr. John Ajayi, Head Consultant of MEDIA EDGE Limited, and Publisher/CEO of MARKETING EDGE Publications Company, is a veteran, well tested Journalist and specialist in brand consultancy. Ajayi brings on board a wealth of experience spanning journalism, advertising, marketing and public relations.

He is a Fellow of National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (fnimn) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (mnipr) as well as a member of the Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE).
He started out with a career in journalism. In his over three decades practice of journalism, he pioneered the marketing, advertising and public relations genre of journalism, a new brand of journalism with special skills and knowledge of the industry while at THISDAY Newspapers.

He worked briefly with EVENTS COMPANY, a Lagos-based public relations and events marketing company, before Co-setting up MEDIA EDGE Ltd with like-minded fellows in 2001. Since then, he has continued to lead the pack in the Nigeria integrated marketing communications sector. He is an avant-garde professional with many years experience in the entire marketing and advertising ecosystem.

He is very versatile in the industry and a very well respected professional with a remarkable pedigree and brand equity.
Annually, agencies from more than 35 countries submit their entries. The geography of the Festival participants is expanding annually. White Square Festival, promoting creativity, highly values fresh ideas and people in the advertising and creative industry, shares the principles of socially responsible marketing, peacefulness and defends universal human values. Social projects at the Festival are supported annually by partners and special prizes.

The call for entries is open: participants are welcome to submit their entries online till 28 April. Entries are accepted in205 nominations in 8 categories.

The high level of judging, professional competence and impartiality in the evaluation of entries are one of the strengths of White Square Festival. This year, 4 line-ups of international jury represented by experts with worldwide recognition in the advertising industry, numerous awards and experience in judging prestigious creativity festivals around the world will evaluate the entries.

CREATIVE JURY is judging CREATIVE and BRANDING contests: film, print, radio & audio, outdoor, integrated, branded content & entertainment, creative use of media, communication design, packaging design, digital & interactive design, product design, brand environment design.

MARKETING & DIGITAL JURY is judging MARKETING EFFECTIVENESS, MARKETING SERVICES, DIGITAL and MEDIA contests: marketing effectiveness, brand experience & activation, PR, direct, campaigns: sectors, innovations, creativity driven transformation, digital, mobile, social & influencer, creative data, channels, excellence in media, media campaign.
