The first phase of the National Information Technology (NIT) Whizkids competition by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is billed to hold today across the states after previous postponements occasioned by the public holidays that were declared by the government

The examination which would be conducted online is to produce three best students from each state who would now progress to the next level which is the regional level.

The three best from each state would compete with one another at the various regions to determine who eventually makes it to the final stage at the national level where winners would be determined and subsequently announced during the annual conference

For the competition, the candidates who are private and public schools students in the senior secondary classes would require a functional system, stable connectivity with enough data in a conducive environment to be able to participate.

The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) is the umbrella organization of all Information Technology Professionals, Interest Groups and Stakeholders in Nigeria.
