Africa’s leading data and marketing technology company, Terragon, has released its 2022 H2 Consumer Insights Report – “Detty December: A report on consumer digital transactional behaviour in December.”

In a statement signed by Terragon’s VP, Marketing, Strategy and Corporate Communications, Osarugue Awani, the Martech company noted that the report will help brands position themselves in the forthcoming holiday season.

“This report comes at a critical time as we approach the busy holiday season and will help brands prepare to drive growth, acquire new customers, retain existing ones and increase revenues in the 2022 peak holiday season and beyond.” Awani noted.

She added that the report was carefully put together following a thorough analysis of over 8 million Nigerian consumers.

“The report includes findings from analysis carried out on over 8 million profiles on transactional behavior in  December 2021. It details the most used payment channels, payment frequency, consumer demography and other insights. As we approach 2023, the report presents an overview of consumer spend outlook for 2022, and key trends that will shape consumer behavior this season and into an electioneering 2023.”

The report also provides brands with key insights that will help them navigate an inflation-ridden economy especially as we approach 2023 which the world bank says is at risk of a global recession. In Nigeria, where general elections are scheduled to hold in 2023, the report also provides brands with critical insights to stay relevant and position themselves for growth in the election season and beyond.

Recall that in 2021, the MarTech company released its Terragon Insights 2021, which was a report on the state of data-driven marketing in Africa. The report which was distributed to thousands of digital and data-driven marketing practitioners across key markets on the continent, provided key insights to help marketers develop their data-driven marketing strategies.
