Stagwell media agency Assembly made several regional CEO appointments today including the promotion of Assembly North American President Valerie Davis to NA CEO. Davis will continue to oversee all Assembly operations in the region and report to James Townsend, Global CEO of Assembly and the Stagwell Brand X Performance Network.

Davis orchestrated a major reorganization of Assembly’s NA team, which was followed by 32 new client wins in 2022 and a 21% increase in new business revenue over 2021.

“Val has brought ambition, success, and humanity to our largest market and she is progressive in her thinking for our clients and people,” stated Townsend.
In addition to Davis, Assembly elevated two agency leaders in its fastest-growing regions to CEO and hired a new CEO in Europe. Asia Pacific Managing Director Richard Brosgill has been promoted to APAC CEO and Middle East/North Africa Managing Director Faisal Dean has been promoted to MENA CEO.
Matt Adams has been hired as CEO in Europe. He joins from Brainlabs, where he was the Global Chief Operating Officer and is credited with scaling the company from a predominantly pay-per-click agency to a full-service digital first media agency. During his tenure the agency more than quadrupled its size. He also helped acquire and integrate eight companies across the marketing funnel to bolster the agency’s capabilities. Prior to Brainlabs, Adams was the UK and Ireland CEO of Havas Media Group.

The appointments follow a series of global new business wins, product launches, and partner announcements over the last few months.

The agency kicked off 2023 with the launch of Clean Media Lab, a new, technology-powered media decarbonization offering first available in Europe, joined Ad Net Zero in the US and UK, and continues its effort to become B Corp. The agency also added new clients Mandarin Oriental and T. Rowe Price to its roster and significantly expanded its remit with Lenovo globally.
