Government College Ketu, Epe (GCK), the 1996 best secondary school in Lagos State, is proud to announce the election of new executives for its 2001 alumni. Following a successful transition ceremony held last weekend in Lagos, the 2001 alumni bid farewell to their previous executive team and welcomed a fresh set of leaders to guide the association into a new era.

Founded in 1974, Government College Ketu, Epe has consistently produced exceptional individuals who have made notable contributions to various fields. The 2001 alumni, known for their unwavering dedication and commitment to their alma mater, have elected a group of esteemed individuals to serve as their new executive team.

The newly elected executives for the alumni class of 2001 are as follows:

  • President: Dare Shittu
  • Vice President/General Secretary: Rhoda Ayanwusi
  • Compliance/Chief Whip: Ohwofasa Evabeta
  • Projects and Community Development Secretary: Lekan Onike
  • Financial Secretary/Treasurer: Kelicha Osuya-John
  • Media Relations/Social Events: Niyi Kaka
  • Welfare, Health, and Membership 1: Adedeji Ogunsanwo
  • Welfare, Health, and Membership 2: Bisola Koledoye

The outgoing president, Nkechi Nwaiwu, expressed her gratitude to the association for the opportunity to serve. “I am profoundly grateful to the 2001 alumni association for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading this esteemed organization,” Nkechi Nwaiwu remarked. “The support and cooperation I received from the members throughout my tenure were truly remarkable, and it is because of their dedication and commitment that we were able to achieve great milestones together.”

Nwaiwu emphasized the importance of unity within the association and the collective effort required to drive progress. She stated, “Our strength lies in our unity, and I have full confidence in the newly elected executives to carry forward the torch of unity and lead us to even greater heights. They possess the passion, dedication, and vision needed to guide the association towards a brighter future.”
